Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari


9 days safari tracking of the rare Mountain Gorillas in their natural habituation of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the amazing wildlife experience with the vast plantations and magnificent mountain and hills viewing.

 

Day 1: Arrival

After arrival at Entebbe airport you will be met by our guide who will drive you to your hotel in Kampala where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning breakfast and depart to Murchison Falls national park with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you go on foot in search of the White Rhino! Ziwa is the only place where the rhinoceroses have 24 hour surveillance. Drive to Murchison Falls National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in the park with a possibility of seeing elephant, giraffe, buffalo, warthog, leopard, lion, and many others. Afternoon boat trip to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. For people who are in good physical condition there is the possibility to be deposited at the bottom of the Waterfall and to take a hike up. Enjoy a fascinating sunset on your return. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Morning breakfast and proceed with the game drive en-route to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Named after her Majesty the Queen of England and stretching from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori range in the north, along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the south, it is Uganda’s most popular and most scenic game reserves. Arriving in time for lunch, continue your game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park as well as a cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel within the park

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today you get up early for the Lion tracking experience with the resident research team. The lion tracking experience gives you the biggest chance to spot lions, but there are many more animals.



Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi National Park

Early morning breakfast and have your game drive in the park enroute to Bwindi national park. A network of tracks allows you to find elephant, buffalo and other animals in the grassland thickets. Driving to Ishasha plains, enjoy the sight seeing of the tree-climbing lion population. With packed lunch, you drive through the park to Buhoma – the base for your gorilla trek in the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight stay in your hotel.

Day 7: Bwindi National Park Gorilla Trekking

Today is the day for Gorillas. After breakfast you go to the rangers post for the briefing.

After the briefing, experienced trackers will accompany you on an early morning trek through dense rain forests on the mountain slopes. Gorilla tracking may be fairly strenuous with treks ranging from two to six hours or longer at high altitudes through thick vegetation up steep slopes. Late lunch at your hotel and with an option of a forest walk with local guides.

Day 8: Buhoma Village walk

Morning breakfast at your hotel and thereafter with help of the local guides, visit the Community project at Ishasha Village. Here the local people will allow you to enjoy some time in their homesteads as well as some of their farm produces. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Airport Transfer

After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the airport for your next destination.
