11 days safari tracking the chimpanzees and the gorillas in their natural habituation, amazing wildlife experience with the vast plantations and magnificent mountain and hills viewing.
Day 1: Arrival
After arrival at Entebbe airport you will be met by our guide who will drive you to your hotel in Kampala where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning breakfast and depart to Murchison Falls national park with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you go on foot in search of the White Rhino! Ziwa is the only place where the rhinoceroses have 24 hour surveillance. Drive to Murchison Falls National Park for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in the park with the possibility of seeing elephants, giraffe, buffalo, warthogs, leopards, lions, and many others. Afternoon boat trip to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. For people who are in good physical condition there is the possibility to be deposited at the bottom of the Waterfall and to take a hike up. Enjoy a fascinating sunset on your return. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park
Morning breakfast and travel through the Rift Valley with a view of Lake Albert and its coastal fringes. Continue to Fort Portal through an attractive landscape of rolling hills with tea plantations descending to the foot of Rwenzori Mountain chain. Dinner and overnight stay in Kibale.
Day 5: Full day with the Chimps
After early morning breakfast, you will be accompanied by local trackers into the Kibale Forest National Park as they follow chimpanzee families during their daily activities, getting them used to human presence without altering their natural behavior. Once among the chimps, spend about an hour observing and following them. Lunch and afternoon leisure at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will drive heading to Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey takes you through the crater lakes to Kasese, the second most populous centre in western Uganda. From Kasese, you’ll cross the equator as the road passes through the Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch, continue your game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park as well as a cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel within the park
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today you get up early for the Lion tracking experience with the resident research team. The lion tracking experience gives you the biggest chance to spot lions, but there are many more animals.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi National Park
Early morning breakfast and have your game drive in the park enroute to Bwindi national park. A network of tracks allows you to find elephants, buffalo and other animals in the grassland thickets. Driving to Ishasha plains, enjoy the sightseeing of the tree-climbing lion population. With packed lunch, you drive through the park to Buhoma – the base for your gorilla trek in the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight stay in your hotel.
Day 9: Bwindi National Park Gorilla Trekking
Today is the day for Gorillas. After breakfast you go to the rangers post for the briefing.
After the briefing, experienced trackers will accompany you on an early morning trek through dense rain forests on the mountain slopes. Gorilla tracking may be fairly strenuous with treks ranging from two to six hours or longer at high altitudes through thick vegetation up steep slopes. Late lunch at your hotel and with an option of a forest walk with local guides.
Day 10: Buhoma Village walk
Morning breakfast at your hotel and thereafter with help of the local guides, visit the Community project at Ishasha Village. Here the local people will allow you to enjoy some time in their homesteads as well as some of their farm produces. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Airport Transfer
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the airport for your next destination.
